This is a late Queen Anne Victorian which has been
carefully restored by the prior and present owners to maintain its' historic significance. It was origially build
by Benjamin Lauer in 1892, a son of one of Modoc's founding fathers. It has 12 foot ceilings and all interior wood
trim, including doors are straight grained Redwood. A great deal of, time, energy and expense have been expended in
an effort to restore and maintain this home built in a bye gone era. The home has an unfinished attic area of approximately
750 square feet and a basement area of approximately 1600 square feet, which is used for vehicle storage, workshop, propane/wood
furnace, washer and dryer and general storage. Also, included in the sale are some old pictures and furniture and
